This post is about what had happened to me last week (26 May 2008 - 30 May 2008). This has been a very bad week in my life thus far!!!
On Monday, my brother-in-law left his handphone at our house, so mum asked me to return it to him after work. I agreed and I drove there after office hour. Well, being a KL born person, I really can get lost in this city (weird, right?). So, I called my elder sister how to go to her office and thank God that I reached there safely.
After I returned the phone to my sister, I asked her how to go back home without paying any toll. She said just follow the sign stated "Sungai Besi" will do. So, I did but end up, I missed the right junction and I have to pay extra 2 times toll. This means that RM 2.60 has burnt because of my careless and strange to that area.
On Tuesday, my dad admitted to the hospital. I blogged it on 26 May, but the actual day is 27 May 2008. So, please read that entry. Other than that, my brother's workplace was robbed by some thieves. Thank God that he didn't lost many things because his workers informed him early in the morning. Hence, my brother quickily rushed back to the workplace and chased out the thieves.
On Wednesday, my mum's car broke down and it caused RM 2K plus to repair it. My dad condition was getting better and he wanted to discharge from hospital on that day. So, my mum and younger sister brought him back and settled the payment. Anyone want to have a wild guess how much the charges was? It's RM 6K plus!!!
On Thursday, nothing bad happened, so I thought no more bad things happen to me already. But I was wrong as the following day, Friday I faced some bad stuff too.
On Friday, I forgot to bring my mobile phone to work. It's okay for me if I didn't have special appointment on that day. However, I have arranged a deal with the furniture shop to send over my stuff to my new apartment. So, I concerned that we will have miss communication and can't move in as what I planned. Then, I informed the boss about that and asking him to wait me at the guard house. They agreed!
I went to bank during lunch time to settle something. My account has been debited for a transaction - RM 36 on 22 May 2008. I suspected that payment is to one Insurance company. So, I verified it with the bank. Guess what the bank staff told me, I was scammed and they CAN'T do anything on it!!! Again this bank gave me another bad impressions!!!
Let's talk back how I was being scammed/fraud. I received a call saying that it's from AirAsia. The lady staff, Kasturi said she has one insurance plan under a giant Insurance company to sell to me. So, I agreed and see what's the policy is about. I kinda agreed with it and so I said I wanted to buy it. Then, Kasturi ask for my personal details, but before that, she managed to tell my email address, contact number, so I thought she might retrieve those data from AirAsia database since I used AirAsia flights quite often. Without much thought and cautious, I gave my visa debit card number to her. She affirmed me that I will received my policy hardcopy within 14 days! So, she gave me the insurance company hotline and that's it.
Well, I didn't receive any of the document till now, and I kinda forgot about that policy. It's only when they charged me the RM36, then only I realized that I was fraud by this so called established company. Immediately, I searched the internet and found this consumer.com.my. This site has all the complaints or compliments from Malaysian consumers on the products and services that they purchased before. This site has this article warning us not to purchase AirAsia insurance offered by telemarketers via phone! [DANG!!!] It assured me that I was fraud and kinda stupid in such situation! The lesson here is never ever reveal your bank details and personal details through phone or someone unknown. Remember to jot down their identification card number, employee id and direct line too.

Later at night, the furniture shop delayed my order and I was so angry. Thank God my colleague was with me and so I used her phone to chase after them. After 30 minutes later, they confirmed that they'll reached 30 minutes later. So, I suggested to send my colleagues back home first while waiting for that stupid furniture shop to come! I was careless and locked us in the front door. I locked the wooden door without realized that I left the key inside the house!!! Worst still, the gate is also locked!!! I believed my temperature quickily shoot up and felt like killing someone!!! But soon I cooled myself down and called to my dad and elder sister for help. Well, nothing much can be done, so I gave up. I really thought that me and my colleague will have to spend the night there, but thank God I realized that one of my current house key can fit into the gate's lock hole. So, I tried and it's unlocked and open! I felt so great and it's like being release from a jail!!!
That's not the end of the story, I rushed to the furniture shop to get help and none of them can help, and there is no locksmith at that time; it's 9.30pm! So, I gave up and bought another pad lock to lock the gate and sent my colleague back home. Sigh... My plan has totally ruined (My plan was to move in the new apartment on 1st June 2008).
Initially I thought of finding the locksmith, but I asked help from the house owner instead. But up till now, the owner still can't help me in this. I'll chase after them later.
In conclusion, I really had a very bad week! I remembered clearly that I was so upset and nearly out of my mind after being locked in the apartment! But once I saw the charity show for the earthquake victims on Astro, I realized that I should be more thankful as I'm still alive and healthy. Then, I started to cool down a bit.
Lord, please help me to settle this things as soon as possible. Amen.
