Before I tell the whole story here, please ask yourself (for those who know me) am I not look like a Chinese? Or do I look like a native or foreigner to you? No offense, I'm not critisize anyone here. I respect all races in this world, okay?
There's lots of people thought I'm Malay or native like Iban especially I stayed at Sarawak for about 5 years. Even my colleagues surprised that I'm a pure Chinese! I know my skin ton kinda dark and not white, but I think I'm more look like Chinese, right?
I think I heard of those feedback since 10 plus years ago. So, I kinda get used to it and often I just joke with them. How? When they conversed in Bahasa Malaysia with me, I'll reply the same language. LOL...
But lately, the feedback I got was, "Are you Malaysian?" Guess what I replied? "Of course, you want to see my I/C (Identification Card)?" Hahaha.. Kinda rude, right? I don't bother la. That's was my housemate who sub-let the room to me.
The 2nd person was my house owner who helped me to get back my keys that left inside the house!!!
The 3rd and the latest one is from my colleague who work at different office. We didn't ever talk before until he approached me this morning. He said, "Are you Filipino? I might have a new join from Philippines next month. So .... " [DING DONG], again people thought I'm a foreigner!
I think I should buy those whitening product to put on me and get whiter. Then, I'll see what people think I am? Just kidding, I am comfortable with my skin ton and don't want to change it now.
