Working summary to date

My job requires me to learn new languages which actually existed even before I was born!! It's COBOL (COmmon Business-Oriented Language). Apart from it, I need to learn to operate in a black and green screen for my work. This black and green screen is not something new and it's called Mainframe. :P

So, from day 1 till now, I constantly learn new things daily, of course made mistakes too. I enjoy learn new stuff, and trying my best to be smarter to minimize my mistakes, but me really not perfect as God, so I did some mistakes lo. I'd share one of the mistakes in previous post. That's all from my work.

As for working environment, I rate good for this company. Why? Because most of my colleagues are friendly, nice and funny. They really care about team building. Hence, there is a monthly birthday lunch celebration for those born on that particular month and most of us will join and fellowship and practice team building lo. Besides, they'll bought secret recipe's cakes (3 choices of cakes) each month for the birthday boy/girl/man/woman of the month of my department. Haha, i love this "benefit".

And now, I volunteered myself to help in organize a trip to visit old folk's home. Frankly, I never organize or visit to old folk's home before, so, kinda blur at first. We had a committee meeting on Thursday and I enjoyed the meeting especially the way they discuss things. I'll do my best and contribute to this event.

Last but not least, I started to join Japanese class. It is taught by one of my colleagues who volunteered himself to teach us for free. Since it's free, why not learn it now. Today is the first lesson, in 95 mins time, my sensei (teacher) taught us 70 hiragana words. He also taught us how to read and write those words too. Wow, it's kinda hard to remember those 70 words. This will be my another challenge lo. In order to help us learn faster, sense gave us some homework and asked us to remember 15 hiragana words because there'll be quiz next Friday. Wow, quiz after 1st lesson. So fast!!! Anyway, I must pay the price just to gain something ba... Gambateh ne.

Sayonara, ziyamata...
